What does it really mean to let go?
In Episode 3 of Meditation for the Mind, Eye Opener Society explores the practice of letting go through mindfulness, meditation, Zen philosophy, non-attachment, impermanence, and present-moment awareness.
We spend so much of our lives holding onto things: memories, relationships, expectations, emotions, experiences, old beliefs, and even versions of ourselves that may no longer reflect who we are today. Sometimes we hold onto these things because they are meaningful. Other times, we hold onto them because we're afraid of what it might mean to release them.
But letting go doesn't mean that something didn't matter.
It doesn't mean forgetting.
It doesn't mean giving up.
Sometimes letting go simply means allowing something to have been what it was while giving yourself permission to experience what comes next.
This approximately 15-minute guided meditation creates a peaceful space to explore impermanence, non-attachment, mindfulness, self-awareness, emotional awareness, inner peace, and personal growth. You'll be invited to notice thoughts, sounds, sensations, and experiences as they arise and pass without needing to hold onto them.

Eye Opener Society Is Evolving: Introducing Station Elsewhere
Something new is beginning at Eye Opener Society.
In this special announcement, Gary explains the next chapter for Eye Opener Society and the evolution of its podcast-style programming into a new series called Station Elsewhere.
Station Elsewhere is designed to be different from what came before. Rather than following a rigid weekly schedule or relying on predetermined topic lists, Gary and Lizzie will create a more atmospheric, candid, emotional, and spontaneous conversation. The goal is to allow conversations to develop naturally, follow the energy of the moment, and explore deeper subjects without forcing them into a particular format.
Because meaningful conversation doesn't always need to happen every week, Station Elsewhere will release approximately once or twice a month. This slower schedule allows the hosts to protect their personal time, keep the conversations fresh, and focus their energy where it matters most.
At the same time, Thursday Night Sermons remain the core focus of the Eye Opener Society ministry, with live sermons continuing every Thursday at 7 PM Eastern on Facebook and recordings available afterward.
The Eye Opener Society Guided Meditation Series will also continue on a weekly basis, offering listeners a peaceful space for meditation, mindfulness, spiritual reflection, philosophy, awareness, and personal exploration.
This isn't the end of Eye Opener Society.
It's a new chapter.

What if the most important algorithm in your life isn't the one running Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or Google? What if it's the algorithm you've built inside yourself?
In this Thursday Night Sermon from Eye Opener Society, we take a different look at algorithms—not simply as technology, social media systems, or computer code, but as patterns that influence what we see, what we believe, how we react, and how we relate to other people.
Social media algorithms learn from our behavior. They notice what captures our attention, what makes us stop scrolling, what we engage with, and what keeps us coming back. But human beings operate through patterns too. Our experiences, beliefs, fears, expectations, relationships, habits, and past experiences can create our own internal "algorithms" that influence how we respond to the world around us.
This sermon explores what happens when we begin treating people according to old patterns instead of seeing them as they actually are. We examine confirmation bias, judgment, assumptions, emotional reactions, relationship patterns, and the tendency to repeatedly respond to life from the same programming.
Sometimes we complain about the algorithm while never questioning the algorithm running inside ourselves.
